5 April 1960 :
If you were born after this date, you will be the affected by the new minimum retirement age of 55. This means you will not be able to draw a pension until you reach 55.
Mar 2006 :
This is the last major opportunity for the government to make changes to the Finance Bill 2006 legislation before A Day on 6 April.
5th April 2006 :
Your last opportunity to take advantage of the current pension rules.
6th April 2006 :
A Day - the date on which the new pensions legislation comes into force.
6th April 2009 :
This is the date the registration period for transitional protection of your fund from the Lifetime Allowance charge ends.
6th April 2010 :
The minimum age at which you can begin to draw your pension will be increased from 50 to 55 on 6 April 2010. Anyone born after 5 April 1960 will not be able to draw a pension until they have reached the age of 55.
